Esther Lybeert (Mrs. Hyde) vocal -session
My dear friend "Frank Duchène" pointed out that an artist he was
working with (Mrs Hyde) had done a cover version of one of my
old songs (The Ship) and I should check it out on "Youtube".
So I did and I loved it ! It was so different from the original
but very intense and organic! I invited the singer "Esther Lybeert"
to the studio to sing backing vocals on the songs "Heaven" and "You Know".
She did a brilliant job and we got along splendid! So I'm sure
she'll be back to sing on some more tracks later.
She played me some new "Mrs Hyde" songs and they are GREAT!
Esther was the first singer for the Belgian band "Hoover-phonic"
at the age of 16! (hey that's legal, I hope!?) I happened to be at
their legendary showcase in Willebroek (Perron 4)
where EMI(UK), SONY(UK), PIAS and 4AD(UK) were all present!
Esther did not like the dress she had to wear that night ...So she quit.
Of course? Hey, you go girl! YES!
